Chamber’s Possible Return to VALORANT Matches After Patch 6.11 Buffs

VALORANT: Chamber Set to Receive Buffs in Patch 6.12

Chamber, the divisive agent in VALORANT, is set to receive buffs in the upcoming Patch 6.12, according to a recent announcement by Riot. After facing a significant nerf in Patch 5.12, many players are eager to see Chamber make a comeback in the meta.

The changes are expected to hit the Public Beta Environment (PBE) on May 29 before being implemented in the main game.

The anticipated buffs for Chamber include:

  • Trademark: Increased range from 4,000 to 5,000 units and reduced trap arm speed from four seconds to two seconds.
  • Rendezvous: Ability to instantly equip weapons after teleporting.
  • Tour de Force: 15% increase in fire rate.

These buffs aim to address some of the criticisms surrounding Chamber’s abilities, particularly the perception that he lacks the characteristics of a sentinel agent. The range of Trademark will be extended, and the trap’s reaction time will be faster, leading to quicker enemy detection. Additionally, Chamber’s teleport ability will allow him to equip weapons immediately after teleporting, eliminating the need to wait and potentially get caught off guard.

Furthermore, the fire rate of Chamber’s ultimate ability, Tour de Force, will be boosted, making it more advantageous for players. This change aims to enhance the overall effectiveness of the ultimate, which has been compared unfavorably to the Operator weapon.

With these buffs, it is expected that Chamber’s pick rate will increase beyond its current 3%, allowing for more diverse team compositions and map selections.
