TenZ takes top spot in KDA at VCT Masters 2 Reykjavík

Tyson “TenZ” Ngo Dominates VALORANT Masters Tournament

At the recent VCT Masters Two Reykjavík, Sentinels’ Tyson “TenZ” Ngo proved himself as the standout player. He led the way in KDA, leaving his opponents in awe.

TenZ’s Impressive Performance

TenZ was the driving force for Sentinels throughout the week-long tournament. The 19-year-old showcased his skills with Jett, Reyna, and Raze, delivering outstanding performances in Iceland.

Across four series and nine maps, Sentinels remained undefeated, triumphing over teams from Europe, Brazil, Korea, and Europe once again. TenZ secured a staggering 206 kills, the highest in the tournament, along with 139 assists and just 55 deaths, resulting in an impressive 1.87 KDA.

TenZ and ScreaM: The Top Performers

Another notable player at the tournament was Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, who boasted a 1.77 KDA as Sage and Phoenix. However, despite his performance, ScreaM failed to qualify for the finals and lost to European rivals Fnatic in the lower bracket.

In the finals between Sentinels and Fnatic, held on May 30, TenZ was rightfully named the MVP, showcasing his brilliance when it mattered the most.

TenZ’s Future with Sentinels

TenZ’s future with Sentinels remains uncertain despite his impressive showing in Iceland. As a last-minute stand-in for Jay “sinatraa” Won, TenZ joined the team in March. However, he may be forced to return to his former team, Cloud9 Blue.

TenZ expressed his desire to continue competing with Sentinels, praising the team and his enjoyable experience playing alongside them. He hopes to stay with the team and eagerly awaits the decision.

Next Steps for Sentinels

Sentinels will make their return for VCT Stage Three Challengers in July. Their goal is to qualify for VCT Masters Berlin in September.
