SumaiL Joins Nigma Galaxy’s Dota 2 Roster

SumaiL has officially joined Nigma Galaxy’s Dota 2 roster today. The announcement trailer revealed that SumaiL will be playing in the mid lane, while Miracle- moves back to the safe lane position.

A New Challenge for SumaiL and Nigma

This season, both SumaiL and Nigma will face a new challenge as they compete in the second division of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC). Nigma, a team consisting of former The International winners, will now go up against the younger generation of Dota 2 players in division two.

Qualifying for The International

Although qualifying directly for The International event is not possible for Nigma, the team will aim for the qualifiers and work towards returning to the first division. SumaiL was in a similar position last year when he joined OG and helped the team qualify for The International through the qualifiers.

SumaiL’s Move to Nigma

SumaiL has joined Nigma after leaving Team Secret, who placed fifth in the Western European DPC upper-division. Team Secret’s captain, Puppey, considered a roster change after not being able to improve the team’s performance. Team Secret later signed Crystallis as its position one player.

A Dominating History

Although Nigma Galaxy has been relatively quiet in recent times, the team’s members have a history of dominance in the competitive scene, particularly from 2017 to 2019. After winning The International in 2017 under Team Liquid, they secured fourth and second-place finishes in the next two tournaments.

SumaiL’s Performance and Expectations

SumaiL has proven himself in the position one role but has primarily been a mid-lane player throughout his career. Nigma hopes to showcase their skills and make a mark in the Dota 2 world during the Western European Qualifiers for the next International.

The Nigma Galaxy roster for the third tour of the Western European DPC consists of:

  • Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi
  • Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan
  • Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov
  • Maroun “GH” Merhej
  • Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi
