Complete guide to the first tournament of 2022 for VCT Game Changers

The first tournament of the 2022 season of VCT Game Changers is underway after a year of Cloud9 White dominance. Eight VALORANT teams have successfully made it through the open qualifiers to compete for the crown and a share of the $50,000 prize pool. The teams will also earn points towards the Game Changers World Championship.

Format and teams

The NA VCT Game Changers follows a double-elimination bracket format, with the grand final set to take place on April 9. All matches will be best-of-three, allowing teams to accumulate points for the Game Changers World Championship qualification. The main event features eight qualified teams: Cloud9 White, Shopify Rebellion, Gen.G Black, TSM X, Dart Monkeys, DIGNITAS, VersionX, and CLG Red. These teams will compete for a total of 410 points, with the points breakdown outlined below:

  • First place – 80 points
  • Second place – 60 points
  • Third place – 50 points
  • Fourth place – 40 points
  • Fifth and sixth place – 30 points
  • Seventh and eighth place – 20 points
  • Ninth to 16th place – 10 points

Schedule and how to watch

The games will be broadcasted on the VALORANT channels on YouTube and Twitch. Due to simultaneous games during the main event, an alternate Twitch channel will be used. The matches start on April 6 at 3pm CT and continue until April 9, culminating in the grand final. Check the VALORANT esports schedule daily for any time changes.
