JasonR becomes FaZe Clan’s inaugural signing in the world of VALORANT

FaZe Clan Welcomes VALORANT Player

Popular Twitch streamer and former OpTic Gaming CS:GO player, Jason Ruchelski, has joined FaZe Clan as the first player in their VALORANT division, as announced by the organization. JasonR will serve as the team captain, responsible for making player selections.

By joining FaZe Clan’s VALORANT division, JasonR is likely retiring from CS:GO after a moderately successful career. In 2017, he played as a stand-in for OpTic Gaming.

This move follows the recent addition of former Team Liquid player, Spencer “Hiko” Martin, to 100 Thieves’ VALORANT team. Like Hiko, JasonR has a competitive background in CS:GO and a substantial Twitch following.

Although JasonR did not win any tournaments in CS:GO, he could assemble a strong team of VALORANT players in North America to challenge 100 Thieves in future competitions.

Since the release of VALORANT in early June, JasonR has been streaming the game on YouTube and Twitch, accumulating over 745,000 Twitch followers and 35,373,190 views, making him one of the platform’s most popular streamers according to TwitchTracker.

This move signals the commitment of top North American organizations, such as FaZe, 100 Thieves, and Cloud9, to compete at the highest level in VALORANT.
