Top 5 Players to Keep an Eye on in VCT Pacific’s Superweek

The Exciting Superweek in VCT Pacific League

The VCT Pacific League teams are gearing up for their very first superweek, marking the end of the regular season. With every team playing their last two VALORANT matches between Friday (May 12) and Tuesday (May 16), there is a strong possibility of a shakeup in the final standings.

While DRX dominates the league and is likely to secure a spot in Masters Tokyo, the teams below them are vying for playoff spots and favorable placements within the playoff bracket.

Despite a fairly predictable start to the Pacific League, the last two weeks have been full of surprises, diverting attention away from some teams while bringing others into the spotlight. Some players are finally finding their groove, while others appear drained after a strong start to the season.

If you’re just tuning in for superweek and have missed the chaos that VCT Pacific has to offer, here are five players you should keep an eye on:

5) Dep

Dep has been one of the top duelist players in VCT Pacific all season. Despite his team’s mid-pack position, it’s safe to say that if they were at the top, Dep would have the best Jett statistics in the league.

ZETA DIVISION carries a significant weight on their shoulders. With Masters Tokyo just over a month away, Japan would love to have their own representation at the event. With the other Japanese team in the league, Detonation FocusMe, yet to secure their first win, ZETA is Japan’s last hope.

For ZETA to secure a playoff spot at Masters Tokyo, Dep needs to step up and play a major role. While he has shown outstanding performances as Jett, the team has recently favored a Raze-centered composition on certain maps. However, his recent performances on Raze have been lackluster compared to his standout performance against Global Esports on Haven.

Dep’s performance during the superweek will be crucial in determining ZETA’s chances of making the playoffs and maintaining their momentum.

4) Lmemore

Lmemore has played a crucial role in Rex Regum Qeon’s recent success, securing the last playoff spot in VCT Pacific. Despite a slow start, the Indonesian team has been stepping up, even winning a map against top team DRX.

As a sentinel player, Lmemore’s consistent performance and ability to clutch rounds have been instrumental in RRQ’s victories. Lmemore is known for his impressive average combat score on Killjoy over the last month.

While sentinel players may not always be in the spotlight, Lmemore’s contribution to RRQ’s success cannot be ignored. Keep an eye on him as they fight to maintain their playoff spot.

3) Rb

Rb is one of the quieter but consistently strong players in VCT Pacific. As a member of the top-ranked DRX team, Rb often takes on roles that don’t receive much attention. However, his versatility and calm demeanor make him a standout player.

Rb has played nine different agents in 2023, the most in the Pacific League. This adaptability allows him to excel in various roles, making him a vital asset to the team’s success. With the freedom to experiment now that DRX has secured a playoff spot, expect Rb to continue impressing with his flexibility.

2) Carpe

T1 may have had a slow start to the season, but their recent dominant victory over Team Secret has turned heads. Carpe, a former Overwatch League pro, played a crucial role in T1’s success, even earning match MVP. With his impressive performances and growing synergy with his teammates, T1 has the potential to secure a high playoff placement and challenge their historic rival, Gen.G.

1) Crws

Crws, the in-game leader for Talon Esports, has been in top form recently. With improved team coordination and individual performances, Talon has made a comeback. While starting the season at the bottom of the standings, they have shown signs of a revitalized strategy. Crws’s leadership and calls have played a crucial role in Talon’s resurgence.

Although Talon currently sits at ninth place, they have the potential to surprise everyone. Keep an eye on Crws as he leads his team through the superweek and into playoffs.

VCT Pacific matches will run from Friday, May 12 to Tuesday, May 16. Superweek will set the stage for the playoffs and the Pacific League finals leading into Masters Tokyo.
