Psyonix unveils an array of updates for Rocket League on console and PC

Psyonix Reveals Spring Plans for Rocket League

Gaming studio Psyonix has announced its plans for the popular game Rocket League this spring, including a range of updates for various platforms.

On February 7, Psyonix will distribute the season six competitive rewards, just in time for the start of season seven. This update will also introduce a new loot crate, featuring fan rewards, as well as a public beta for the upcoming Tournament feature on PC.

In March, Rocket League players will have the opportunity to purchase a new licensed premium DLC during the Spring event. More details about the DLC and event will be announced at a later date.

Furthermore, Psyonix is working on the ability for players to create parties with users on different platforms. This will enable Xbox One and Nintendo Switch players to team up despite using different systems.

The Nintendo Switch version of the game will receive a performance and visual update in either March or April. Players will be able to choose between two modes: performance mode, which runs the game at 60 FPS and 900p resolution, or quality mode, which increases the resolution to native 1080p at 30 FPS.

Psyonix is also planning to support the Xbox One X, although the game update is expected to be released later in 2018.
