NA Valorant Champions Tour 2022: Challengers One, week 4- Team of the Week

New Team of the Week Revealed for NA VCT Challengers One

The North America VCT Challengers One main event is entering its final week of group play, and some players are saving their best performances for last. Both Version1 and The Guard have maintained perfect records, ensuring their continued presence in our Team of the Week lists. Sentinels, on the other hand, has secured a playoff spot after a strong showing this week.

Initiator: Knights’ XXiF

In the Initiator role, Damion “XXiF” Cook from the Knights has impressed with his performances on KAY/O and Skye. He played a pivotal role in securing two consecutive wins for the Knights and securing a playoffs spot. XXiF’s standout performance on Breeze, where he accumulated 24 kills, 12 assists, and an impressive 344 ACS, set the tone for his team’s success. Although teammate Joseph “ban” Seungmin Oh overshadowed him on Haven, their combined efforts led to a dominant 13-5 victory in the third map.

Duelist: The Guard’s sayaplayer

Sayaplayer from The Guard has been consistently playing well throughout the stage, and his performance against Evil Geniuses stood out. With a flawless record of seven opening duels won on Haven, Sayaplayer showcased his skill on Jett. His exceptional performance continued on Icebox, where he secured 28 kills and played a crucial role in stealing the map with three impressive Operator double kills in the final rounds.

Sentinel: OpTic’s yay

OpTic’s yay makes his second appearance in the Team of the Week lineup. Despite OpTic’s loss this week, yay’s individual performance was impressive. In the first map against Version1, he contributed significantly to the team’s 13-2 victory. In the second map, he showcased his skills with a 25 kill/14 death effort on Icebox, including an ace and a 4K. Without yay’s strong performance, OpTic’s loss would have been even more decisive.

Flex: Sentinels’ SicK

SicK from Sentinels has demonstrated his versatility by playing five different agents across all four roles during the stage. In a crucial match against Rise, SicK performed exceptionally well on Skye and Astra. Despite Sentinels’ slow start on Haven, SicK had a positive K/D and turned the tide on Fracture with key kills and multi-kill rounds. On Bind, SicK’s Raze prowess was on display as he dominated opening duels and contributed to the team’s victory.

Controller: Version1’s zander

During Version1’s match, their controller Zander played a crucial role in their success, particularly on Icebox. While the team struggled on Ascent, Zander’s abilities as Astra created numerous opportunities for his teammates on Haven. However, it was on Icebox where he had his standout performance, utilizing Viper’s utility to secure kills and assists.

Overall, these players have showcased their skill and impact on their respective teams, earning themselves a spot in the Team of the Week for NA VCT Challengers One. As the tournament enters its final week of group play, it will be exciting to see if these players can continue to deliver standout performances.
