Changes Coming to VALORANT Episode 3: Agent and Weapon Prices, Jett Adjustments and Operator Enhancements

VALORANT Early Access Test Reveals Potential Agent and Weapon Price Changes

A recent Early Access test build of VALORANT has unveiled possible updates to agents and weapon prices in the game. These changes may impact the gameplay experience for players.

Weapon price adjustments have been made across various categories including sidearms, SMGs, shotguns, rifles, sniper rifles, and machine guns. Some weapons have seen decreases or increases in their prices.

Notable changes in weapon prices include the Stinger, which has been reduced from 1,100 to 950 creds. The cost of the Operator has also been decreased from 5,000 to 4,700 creds. On the other hand, the Judge has seen an increase in price from 1,600 to 1,850 creds. Other weapons such as the Shorty, Frenzy, Bucky, Bulldog, Guardian, Marshal, and Aries have also undergone changes in their prices.

Furthermore, almost every agent in the game has been buffed or nerfed to balance their abilities. Astra, Brimstone, Phoenix, Reyna, Viper, and Yoru have received minor nerfs with increased costs for their abilities. For example, Reyna’s ability cost has gone up from 50 creds to a maximum of 200 creds for Raze.

However, some agents have undergone significant changes. Jett’s Cloudburst and Updraft abilities have increased in cost, and her Blade Storm ultimate now requires an additional point. Omen’s Shrouded Step ability has also become more expensive, while his Paranoia ability has seen a reduction in cost. Omen’s Dark Cover ability now regenerates after 40 seconds and has an extra cost for the second charge.

Skye and Sova have also experienced adjustments to their abilities, with changes in costs and cooldown times.

Agent Sage’s Slow Orb and ultimate have seen increased costs, while Breach’s Aftershock and Flashpoint abilities have become more expensive with additional functionalities. Sage’s Resurrection ultimate now requires eight points, whereas previously it required seven points.

These changes are subject to further modifications before the release of Episode Three, Act One on Tuesday, June 22.
