VCT LOCK//IN Alumni yay and vanity to Face Off in NA VALORANT Challengers
In a surprising turn of events, yay and vanity, both former players of Cloud9 in the VCT LOCK//IN, will meet each other in week two of the second split of the NA VALORANT Challengers season. yay now plays for Disguised while vanity joined Shopify Rebellion after parting ways with Cloud9 before the start of the second split.
Despite the strong start by Cloud9’s replacement players, yay and vanity need to bounce back from their debut losses and turn their teams’ fortune around. Shopify Rebellion lost a close match against TSM, while Disguised had a rough start with an unexpected loss to Oxygen. Both teams enter the upcoming faceoff with five-match losing streaks, desperately needing a win to secure a better position in the upcoming double-elimination playoffs.
Disguised, in particular, has struggled recently, winning only one map in their last five matches, mostly against tough opponents like TSM and M80.
Must-Win Series for Shopify Rebellion and Disguised
The long-awaited faceoff between the two former C9 teammates is scheduled for Thursday, April 27 at 6pm CT. It is seen as a crucial series for both Shopify Rebellion and Disguised to regain momentum and secure a better position in the playoffs.
