During the Inferno map, Fnatic started off strong on their Terrorist side, leading with a 9-6 score at halftime. They seemed to have the match in their control after winning the second pistol round, but OpTic made an impressive offensive comeback. The map game became highly intense, with both teams trading rounds. The match ultimately came down to round 30, where OpTic’s Adam Friberg pulled off a remarkable one-on-two clutch in a post-plant situation, securing OpTic the first map victory.

The second map, Train, showcased Fnatic’s experience and dominance as they successfully defended against OpTic for most of the match. The halftime score was 11-4 in favor of Fnatic. OpTic made a valiant attempt at a comeback, but their efforts fell short, resulting in a 16-10 victory for Fnatic.

The final map of the series, Mirage, proved to be a close battle throughout the first half, with OpTic leading 9-6. However, Fnatic gained momentum after securing the second pistol round, bringing the game closer. The match reached a pivotal moment when OpTic broke the Swedish economy late in the game. The final rounds became a battle of finances, resulting in Fnatic’s solid B site hold in round 30, securing them a 16-14 victory and ultimately ending the series.

Fnatic will now face off against FaZe Clan in the first semifinals of the $750,000 event tomorrow at 10am ET.
