A Nation Excelling in Fulfilling its High VALORANT Expectations in VCT Pacific

DOMINANT KOREAN TEAMS LEADING VCT PACIFIC 2023 SEASON

After three weeks of the VCT Pacific 2023 season, Korean teams are proving to be the strongest in the region. DRX, Gen.G, and T1 have won a total of eight out of the nine series played so far, establishing their dominance over teams from south/southeast Asia and Japan.

DRX stands at the top of the standings with a flawless 3-0 series record and a remarkable 6-0 map record. With players like MaKo, BuZz, and Foxy9, DRX boasts top talent in the controller, initiator, and duelist positions. Their international experience and domestic pedigree make their rise to the top no surprise.

Gen.G, another strong contender, has also lived up to expectations. With a 3-0 record, they have only dropped a single map against Detonation FocusMe. Led by k1ng on Viper and Killjoy, Gen.G has a third-best league round differential of +19.

T1, although facing some inconsistency, holds a 2-1 record after week three. Unlike DRX and Gen.G, T1 entered VCT Pacific without an established core. Despite this, T1’s flexible player xeta has showcased stellar play. They are also experimenting with Carpe, a player who recently made the switch from Overwatch.

UPCOMING MATCHUPS TO WATCH

The Korean teams are set to face each other in upcoming matches. On April 16, T1 will take on Gen.G, followed by a matchup between Gen.G and DRX on April 22. This highly anticipated battle could potentially feature two undefeated teams going head-to-head.
