Jokerd Recognized as the First Player to Reach Level 60 in WoW Classic

Jokerd Becomes First Western Player to Reach Level 60 in WoW Classic

Popular World of Warcraft streamer Jokerd has achieved an impressive milestone in the highly anticipated Classic version of the game. At 1:40pm CT today, Aug. 30, Jokerd became the first player in the West to reach level 60. Playing as a Mage on the Mograine server in Europe, Jokerd needed three days, 20 hours, and 40 minutes to reach this feat since the release of WoW Classic. Notably, he streamed over 78 hours during this time, attracting an audience of over 300,000 viewers on Twitch.

While there is no confirmed information about players in Eastern countries, Jokerd’s achievement potentially makes him the first WoW Classic player worldwide to reach the level cap.

Jokerd primarily focused on soloing mobs throughout his leveling journey. In the later stages, he opted not to participate in dungeons and instead utilized area-of-effect spells like Blizzard to clear tight-packed mobs. During the latest levels, he sought assistance from friends to activate the layering system, which allowed him to farm faster by avoiding wait times for mobs. Blizzard intentionally implemented this feature in Classic for the first weeks of the server.

Despite speculation from other players, there is no evidence to suggest that Jokerd had someone else playing on his account while he slept. His remarkable speed and efficiency in reaching level 60 set him far ahead of the second-place player in the West, who is currently at level 56.

With level 60 achieved, Jokerd now awaits other players to catch up so that they can embark on a new challenge together. His next goal is to participate in the world’s first Onyxia or Molten Core raid clear. However, Jokerd must wait for at least 39 more players to reach level 60 before he can make a raid attempt. This highly anticipated event is expected to take place in the coming days.
