VALORANT servers to undergo maintenance on May 12 in preparation for upcoming patch

VALORANT Beta Servers to Go Down for Patch Preparation

The beta servers for VALORANT will be going down for maintenance on May 12, Riot announced today. This downtime, lasting approximately five and a half hours, is necessary to prepare for the game’s upcoming patch. The patch is expected to bring various fixes, additions, and changes that will enhance the player experience, according to VALORANT game director Joe Ziegler.

Server Downtime Schedule

Starting on May 12, the servers in different regions will go down at different times. In North America, Brazil, and Latin America, the queues will be disabled from 6:30am CT until 12pm CT. In Korea, the downtime will begin at 12:00pm PT and end at 5:30pm PT. In Europe, the queues will be down from 6:30pm PT until 12:00am PT (May 13).

Possible Changes and Fixes

Although the specific details of the patch are yet to be revealed, there are a few expectations among the community. One popular speculation is that the character “Cypher” may receive some nerfs to balance his Spycam ability, which many players find overpowered. Additionally, fixes to certain out-of-bounds tricks involving Sage and Omen combos could also be included in the patch. Various bugs and glitches are also expected to be addressed, but more information will be available once the patch notes are released.

Stay tuned for further updates and enjoy the gameplay!
