Oscar “mixwell” Cañellas Leaves G2’s VALORANT Team
Oscar “mixwell” Cañellas announced on social media that he is no longer a part of G2’s VALORANT team.
Changes in Response to Recent Losses
Wassim “keloqz” Cista replaced mixwell in the active lineup after G2’s defeats against Vitality and Alliance in the VCT Europe: Stage One closed qualifier. As a result, mixwell is now free to explore other opportunities in the world of VALORANT.
I’m officially benched from G2. I have permission to search for options and I’m open to any offers. For more information, please contact G2’s Valorant Esports Manager @knok1 ([email protected])

Missed Opportunities and Departure of Original Lineup
G2’s poor performance in the closed qualifier may have influenced mixwell’s future with the team, but the squad already faced disappointment last year when they failed to qualify for VCT Champions, one of the biggest VALORANT tournaments to date.
The Spanish player joined G2 in June 2020, when the organization first entered the competitive VALORANT scene. Mixwell made a strong impact early on, leading the international squad to victory in consecutive tournaments, such as the WePlay Invitational, BLAST Twitch Invitational, and First Strike Europe.
However, G2 struggled in 2021, with their only notable achievement being a semifinal run in VCT Masters Berlin. They missed out on important tournaments like VCT Two Reykjavik and Champions. With mixwell’s departure, the entire original lineup from June 2020 is now gone.
