Cyberpunk 2077: Top Solo Build with Savage Slugger

Cyberpunk 2077 Savage Solo Slugger build tips

Attributes

If you prefer using your strength over tactics in Cyberpunk 2077, then the Savage Solo Slugger build is for you. Your main attribute should be Body, as it increases your blunt weapon attacks.

To start off your Solo Slugger build, distribute your attributes like this:

This build focuses on closing the gap between you and your opponents quickly and using blunt weapons to stun, knock down, and throw enemies into each other.

You’ll also have increased efficiency with shotguns, which will be your ranged weapon of choice. Reflexes should be your secondary attribute to help you rush up to enemies. Perks like Dash will aid in your maneuvering and attacking.

As a tertiary option, invest in Tech Skill. Cyberware will allow you to equip armor to absorb damage and keep you on your Slugger rampage.

Perks

The first perk you should unlock is Painkiller, as it allows you to slowly regenerate health. This is crucial for a tank build like the Savage Solo Slugger.

Furthermore, the Painkiller perk grants you Adrenaline Rush when you reach 15 Body. This ability enables you to enter a berserker-like state and quickly defeat enemies with your blunt weapon.

The most important perk for this build is Pro Wrecking Ball at Body level nine. Combined with the Gorilla Arms Cyberware, this perk allows you to knock down enemies by barreling into them. The Clapback perk ensures a 100% chance of knocking them down.

Once you reach 20 Body, unlock the Finisher: Savage Sling perk, which lets you finish off injured enemies by throwing them into potential other enemies and regenerating some health for yourself.

Consider grabbing some perks in the shotgun tree as well, along with Reflexes perks. Slippery in the Reflexes skill tree makes you harder to shoot when you move quickly. Dash and Air Dash help you quickly close the distance with your foes. Additionally, the Gorilla Arms-exclusive perk Limiter Removal aids in knocking down enemies.

Skills

Focus on the Solo skill tree, as it enhances your damage with Gorilla Arms, health, damage, and the effects of Adrenaline.

Weapons

This build relies on brute force and blunt weapons. Equipping yourself with blunt weapons will maximize the effectiveness of your skills. Blunt weapons with a chance to stun, like the Gold Plated Baseball Bat, are especially great. Opt for weapons like the Sasquatch Hammer if you want more power, but keep in mind that it will slow you down, which is not ideal for this build.

While shotguns are not the main focus, your proficiency with them will increase as you level up your Body attribute. If you need a gun, consider using a shotgun. The Headsman is a good choice because it can be upgraded with a scope. Early on, you can use the Guts shotgun, which packs a punch.

Cyberware

The only Cyberware you need for this build is the Gorilla Arms. These unique cybernetic arms increase your Body attribute by four, allowing you to deal heavy damage and use weapons that you normally wouldn’t be able to handle. Gorilla Arms are lightweight, allowing for quick movement and armor. They also have a chance to cause bleeding when you hit opponents and can be used to perform an area attack with the Epicenter perk.

Before purchasing Gorilla Arms, make sure you gain some streetcred by completing sidequests.
