Hiko on VCT Masters Reykjavík: ‘Sentinels dominating as the top team in the tournament’

Sentinels Secure Spot in Grand Finals of VALORANT Champions Tour Masters Two Reykjavík

Sentinels, the unbeaten team in the VALORANT Champions Tour Masters Two Reykjavík tournament, has advanced to the grand finals. 100 Thieves’ Hiko praised Sentinels, declaring them the “best team at this tournament” during their match against NUTURN.

Sentinels earned their place in the grand finals by defeating Fnatic, Team Vikings, and NUTURN in the upper bracket. They have not lost a single map and have beaten teams from three different regions.

During the match between Sentinels and NUTURN, Hiko of 100 Thieves acknowledged Sentinels’ dominant performance and labeled them as the strongest team in Iceland.

Hiko expressed, “If you’re honest to yourself, Sentinels looks like the best team at this tournament by far. You can call me salty that we didn’t make it, and you can say 100 Thieves sucks, but at the end of the day, you gotta put some respek on Sentinels. They’re playing amazing.”

Sentinels swiftly swept NUTURN in a 2-0 series, with SicK and TenZ leading the team to victory with incredible performances. Despite being one of the world’s best teams, NUTURN only managed to win five rounds in the first map and four in the second.

Hiko also expressed his hopes for Sentinels to win for North America, highlighting the significance it would hold for the region. With Version1 eliminated by Fnatic, Sentinels is the sole remaining North American team in Iceland.

Sentinels will face the winner of the lower final on Sunday, May 30, at 12 pm CT.
