Mousesports defeats Liquid, Na’Vi surprises FaZe in StarSeries Season 4 semifinals

Mousesports and Natus Vincere are going to the grand finals of StarSeries season four after defeating Team Liquid and FaZe Clan in the semifinals.

The final will be a rematch of DreamHack Winter 2017, where Na’Vi beat Mouz 2-0 to win their first event with Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko as their leader. The difference now is that both teams didn’t have to go through a difficult group stage and bracket to reach the finals.

In the first semifinal, Mouz dominated Team Liquid on Mirage with a 16-7 win. Liquid fought back on Cobblestone with a 15-0 shutout on the CT side, but ultimately lost 16-4. The deciding map, Train, was close until Mousesports took control on the T side and won 16-9.

In the second semifinal, Na’Vi defeated FaZe Clan on Inferno after a close match. Na’Vi then won the following two maps, Overpass and Train, with scores of 16-7. FaZe could not match Na’Vi’s performance, and Egor “flamie” Vasilyev stood out with 25 kills on Train.

The third-place series between FaZe and Liquid will happen before the grand finale, which will start at 1pm ET.
