Neon demonstrates impressive super sliding ability in VALORANT

Neon in Valorant: The Rise of Agility

The electrifying agent 19, Neon, has debuted in VALORANT, bringing with her the potential to dethrone Jett as the agile superstar. Content creators have already tested the agent and discovered a powerful technique called the super slide.

Neon’s ability, High Gear, allows her to slide and run faster, giving her an advantage in rotations, evading gunfire, finding shelter, and securing new angles in fights. But her abilities don’t stop there.

TPAXTOP uncovered the super slide with Neon, and many content creators followed suit to test out this technique. By using Neon’s High Gear ability while going over high walls, players can execute the super slide for a significant speed boost. Timing the slide perfectly is crucial to maintain momentum and quickly rotate and peek enemies at lightning speed.

In the early days of VALORANT, players also discovered a similar interaction with Jett’s Rope dash, allowing her to cover long distances. However, Neon’s super slide appears to be more practical and applicable in various situations.

Even though Jett’s super dash was discovered months after her release, developers did not immediately remove or fix the ability. This led some players, such as HowToNoodle, to master the Jett super dash. However, now it seems that Neon is introducing a rival in terms of speed-based abilities.

It is still unclear whether Neon’s super slide is a bug or intentional. If this mechanic remains in VALORANT, it could become a common theme for speed-focused agents.
