Sean Gares: Discovering a New Path as a Content Creator

Former VALORANT Coach Sean Gares Joins Shopify Rebellion as Content Creator

Sean Gares, the former coach for 100 Thieves in VALORANT, has announced that he has joined Shopify Rebellion as a content creator. Gares has a large following on social media and Twitch, which caught the attention of Shopify Rebellion.

Gares typically streams VALORANT content and hosts watch parties during major tournaments. With his new role at Shopify Rebellion, he now has a squad to root for as the organization has both a Challengers and Game Changers team.

Seangares made a name for himself as a VALORANT content creator after his entry into the Riot Games-owned title with professional commentary. Although he later transitioned to coaching with 100 Thieves, the team was unable to secure a trophy. Their highest achievement was a top-12 finish at VALORANT Champions 2022, where they were defeated by Fnatic.

Following his departure from 100 Thieves in October of last year, Seangares shifted his focus to content creation. He has since gained around 280,000 followers on Twitch and has accumulated almost six million total views, according to Twitch Tracker.

Shopify Rebellion currently has two VALORANT teams: a female roster and a Challengers team. The Challengers team has a 1-3 record in the league, with close losses to Oxygen Esports, FaZe Clan, and Moist Moguls.

The team is preparing to face off against G2 Esports tomorrow at approximately 6pm CT. A victory in this match is crucial for their chances of qualifying for the Mid-Season Face-Off at the end of the month.
