Server Issues Plague European VALORANT Players

Riot’s European Servers Encounter Issues with VALORANT

Riot’s servers in Europe are currently experiencing some difficulties, but this time it’s not related to League of Legends.

Players of VALORANT are facing problems while logging into the game’s client and getting kicked from the agent select screen. attempted to join a game in the EUW region but encountered Error Code 40.

The error message states, “There was an error connecting to the platform. Please restart your game client.”

However, restarting the VALORANT client doesn’t seem to solve the issue at the moment. Players have reported encountering an infinite loading screen when attempting to restart the game. European players will likely have to wait for Riot to resolve the server problems before they can resume playing the tactical first-person shooter.

Update April 21 4pm CT: According to a tweet from the official VALORANT Twitter account, EU servers are experiencing issues with game starts and character selects. The team is rebooting services to troubleshoot the problem and will provide an estimated time-to-fix once they determine the cause.
