Team SMG completes Dota 2 roster with new signing Moon in preparation for The International 10 regional qualifiers

Team SMG adds Kam “Moon” Boon Seng as its fifth player

The final Major of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit has concluded, and teams that did not secure a direct qualification for The International 10 will now compete in regional qualifiers. These qualifiers will serve as the last chance for six teams, one from each region, to earn their spot in the tournament in Sweden in August.

For Team SMG, representing Southeast Asia at TI10 is their goal. As they prepare for the competition, they have made another roster change, bringing in Kam “Moon” Boon Seng as their fifth player.

Moon was moved to Fnatic’s inactive roster on June 2 after the SEA titans failed to qualify for the WePlay Esports AniMajor. A week later, Yang “Deth” Wu Heng joined the team while Moon was given the opportunity to explore other options and pursue new opportunities.

SMG participated in the second season of SEA’s regional league and secured their place in the lower division, finishing in second place. After the season, the organization signed substitute player Roger “Roddgeee” Tan Boon as a replacement for former captain and Dota legend Mushi.

Following SMG’s release of Muhammad “Neah666” Rasulli on June 8, Moon has taken over the position one role in the team’s roster, which now consists of MidOne, Moon, Kpii, ah fu, and Roddgee.

Moon and the new SMG squad will compete against the top teams from SEA for one of the final six spots at TI10. The matches are scheduled to begin on June 30.
