Skadoodle rejoins Cloud9’s active roster

Tyler “skadoodle” Latham Returns to Cloud9 CS:GO Team

Tyler “skadoodle” Latham is making a comeback to Cloud9’s CS:GO team after a short break.

Last night, skadoodle announced on Twitter that he has officially returned to full-time AWPing for Cloud9. Two weeks ago, he had stepped down from the C9 lineup but continued to play as a stand-in for the team’s online ECS and ESL Pro League matches.

It’s possible that his initial decision to go inactive was influenced by Jake “Stewie2k” Yip’s move to SK Gaming. Before Stewie2k’s transfer was made public, skadoodle announced that he would be stepping down and hinted at retirement. However, it seems that he’s not ready to retire just yet.

A week later, Pujan “FNS” Mehta replaced Stewie2k as Cloud9’s in-game leader, taking Tarik Celik’s place. During this time, there were rumors of former Team Liquid AWPer Josh “jdm” Marzano replacing skadoodle. However, skadoodle’s break from competitive CS:GO was short-lived, and the roster change didn’t happen.

On Twitter, skadoodle said, “I should have been more clear on my recent tweet about coming back and playing. It is official. I am actively playing again for Cloud9 and hoping to break out the tank tops this summer.”

Skadoodle is rejoining the teammates he won the ELEAGUE Boston Major with in January. However, the team will be without their iconic fifth player, Stewie2k. Their next event will be at DreamHack Masters Marseille from April 18 to 22.
