How much did VALORANT teams earn from the VCT LOCK//IN bundle?

VALORANT Teams Earned Big Money at First International Tournament

The recent international tournament in VALORANT proved to be a lucrative event for the participating teams, even for those who didn’t win any prize money. The teams had the opportunity to earn a significant amount from the VCT LOCK//IN bundle, which was introduced to the game to commemorate the start of the tournament in February. Although the bundle is no longer available for purchase, it generated approximately $10 million in revenue, with half of the amount going to the developers Riot Games and the other half distributed evenly among the 32 participating teams. This means that each team earned $312,500 for simply attending the event.

Fnatic Emerges as the Champions and Earns Extra Reward

The tournament concluded with Fnatic lifting the trophy on March 4. In addition to their accolades, Fnatic also earned an extra $100,000 for securing the first-place finish in the tournament. This contributed to the overall prize pool of the VCT LOCK//IN, which reached half a million dollars in total.

Comparison with Previous VALORANT Champions Bundle

The revenue generated by the VCT LOCK//IN bundle is remarkable, but it falls short compared to the VALORANT Champions bundle from last year, which was released to commemorate the penultimate international event. The Champions bundle, which is no longer available, amassed nearly $585,000 for each team.

Unique Features of the VCT LOCK//IN Bundle

The VCT LOCK//IN bundle offered an exclusive Misericórdia melee weapon, available in various colors representing the different regions that participated in the tournament. The upgraded melee weapon showcased an animation similar to the Xenohunter knife.
