Disguised Toast Contemplates Forming a New VALORANT Team

Twitch Star Disguised Toast Considers Starting VALORANT Game Changers Team

Twitch star Disguised Toast took to Twitter to announce his consideration of forming a VALORANT team to compete in VCT Game Changers, Riot Games’ circuit for marginalized genders.

Toast reached out to his followers, asking for recommendations on the best available unsigned Game Changers VALORANT player. This mirrors his previous approach when signing players for the NA Challengers League open qualifiers in January 2023, where he recruited Joshua “steel” Nissan, Damion “XXiF” Cook, Drake “Exalt” Branly, Joseph “clear” Allen, and Amgalan “Genghsta” Nemekhbayar.

Several female players responded to Toast’s tweet, expressing their availability and interest. Notable candidates include former Immortals player Lydia “tupperware” Wilson, former Misfits black stand-in korosu, and kay, a current player of Team Karma, which features veteran players Amanda “rain” Smith and Emmalee “EMUHLEET” Garrido.

VALORANT Game Changers has seen a significant rise in popularity since its establishment in 2021. The grand finals of VCT Game Changers in November 2022 reached a peak viewership of 239,334 during the match between Shopify Rebellion from North America and G2 Gozen from Europe. Riot’s changes to the Game Changers format for 2023 may attract even more investment and growth to the scene.

Toast has shown strong dedication to VALORANT since acquiring his team in January 2023. He actively follows their games on Twitch and supports them in every match. While this is his first venture into professional esports, Disguised Toast is performing well in the NA Challengers League Split One, currently holding a 2-1 record and in a favorable position to qualify for the Mid-Season Invitational in late March.

If Toast proceeds with building a team for Game Changers, he could bring in a new audience and contribute to further growth of the VALORANT scene.
