SUYGETSU Secures Visa for VCT Masters Copenhagen

Russian VALORANT Player SUYGETSU Secures Visa, Traveling to VCT Masters Copenhagen

Russian VALORANT player Dmitry “SUYGETSU” Ilyushin has announced on Twitter that he has acquired a visa and will be traveling to VCT Masters Copenhagen.

SUYGETSU Joins FunPlus Phoenix for Playoff Stage

Sources have revealed that SUYGETSU will most likely compete with FunPlus Phoenix in the playoff stage, provided they defeat NORTHEPTION.

Timing of Playoff Matches May be Altered

The change in SUYGETSU’s participation may require adjustments to the timing of the playoff matches.

FPX previously had Mathias “SEIDER” Seider from Alliance playing for them during VCT Masters. After winning against XERXIA Esports in their opening match, they were defeated by the Korean team DRX in the group’s winners’ final.

FPX is scheduled to compete against NORTHEPTION today for the final spot in the playoffs from Group B. The winner of this match will face EMEA victors Fnatic in the first round of the playoffs.

Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, many Russian pro players have faced travel restrictions. The invasion by Russia on Feb. 24 led to the closure of borders to Russian aircraft in response, making it difficult for Russian players to travel abroad.

Fellow Russian player Andrey “Shao” Kiprsky and in-game leader Kyrylo “ANGE1” Karasov have managed to attend VCT Masters, as they obtained their visas prior to SUYGETSU.

Today’s matches in VCT Masters will feature FPX against NORTHEPTION, and OpTic against KRÜ Esports.
