2021 Season 2 Standings of the China Regional League

The 2021 Dota Pro Circuit Regional League Season 2 Underway

The second and final season of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit Regional League is now underway. Teams are competing fiercely for a chance to secure their spots in the upcoming Major and to earn valuable DPC points.

Biggest Stories from the ONE Esports Singapore Major

At the ONE Esports Singapore Major, the grand finals reverse sweep by Invictus Gaming against Evil Geniuses was the headline-grabbing story. However, the entire region performed admirably, with PSG.LGD securing a podium finish and Vici Gaming ending in the top half.

What’s at Stake?

In the current season, sixteen teams from the upper and lower divisions will compete in a round-robin, best-of-three format. The top four teams in the upper division will secure their spots in the second Major of the season with varying seeds. The winner will directly qualify for the playoffs, the runners-up will advance to the group stage, and the last two teams will enter the wild card stage. In addition to a prize pool of $205,000, coveted DPC points will be up for grabs. The bottom two teams will be relegated to the lower division.

Meanwhile, in the lower division, the top two teams will be promoted, while the bottom two will be eliminated. The remaining teams will be replaced by new lineups from the open qualifiers and will compete for a prize pool of $75,000.

Teams that have not qualified for The International 10 will have one last chance to secure their spot through a last-chance qualifier. The winner of this qualifier will earn a berth to TI10, along with the teams that have qualified through DPC points.

Teams to Watch Out For

One team to watch out for is Elephant. This all-star team has great potential but struggled in season one. They need to start converting their potential into results before it’s too late.

Another team to keep an eye on is Invictus Gaming. With a secure ticket to TI10, they have established themselves as the best team in the region. However, they will face strong competition from other teams looking to bring them down.

PSG.LGD has also endured challenges, such as losing star players and making uncertain recruitment decisions. However, they seem to have found stability and will look to further improve in the second season.
