Complete Guide to EMEA Game Changers 2022

A New Season of Game Changers Set to Begin in 2022

The highly anticipated new season of Game Changers is scheduled to kick off in 2022, and fans are eager to see the performance of the women in the popular game VALORANT.

Game Changers Events Throughout the Year

There will be three Game Changers events held throughout the year; one in January, one in May, and one in September. The teams that excel in these events will qualify for the highly competitive Global Game Changers event in November. While exact dates beyond the months have not been disclosed, fans can look forward to thrilling tournaments in these periods.

Introducing Game Changers EMEA Academy

Game Changers is introducing an exciting addition this year, the Game Changers EMEA Academy. This platform will provide new teams with the opportunity to compete in up to six tournaments throughout the year, enabling them to gain valuable experience and play together as a team.

Aspiring female players who aim to be part of the VCT (VALORANT Champions Tour) can utilize this as their path-to-pro. The Game Changers EMEA events will run alongside the VCT but will be scheduled to minimize overlap, allowing teams to participate in both Game Changers events and other tournaments within the EMEA region, including the VALORANT Regional Leagues and the VCT proper.

Policies and Details

In a press conference before the start of the new season, Riot Games confirmed that its policy regarding the eligibility of marginalized individuals will not change. It is worth noting that this policy differs from the more inclusive approach of the North American Game Changers.

While specific details about the Game Changers Global tournament have not yet been revealed, it is expected to feature teams from various regions, including North America, Southeast Asia, Brazil, EMEA, and more as the program expands.

Increased Competition and Excitement

This year, the Game Changers EMEA tournaments are expected to be even more intense and exciting. Unlike the previous year where the tournaments were held in quick succession, teams will now have more time to prepare and build synergy, leading to heightened competition and thrilling matches.
