A Guide to Playing Snowball Fight in VALORANT

Snowball Fight Returns to VALORANT for the Holidays

The beloved holiday game mode, Snowball Fight, has made its return to VALORANT once again. Players can now engage in five vs. five snowball battles while enjoying the festive season. Additionally, they can explore the winter wonderland of Icebox and discover thematic gifts.

How Snowball Fight Works

In Snowball Fight mode, players are restricted from using their agent’s abilities and must rely solely on the Snowball Launcher provided at the start of the match. A single hit from a snowball is enough to eliminate an opponent, so quick reflexes are crucial for survival.

To join a Snowball Fight match, players need to select the game mode and queue up, similar to ranked and regular matches.

Mastering the Snowball Mechanics

Before diving into a Snowball Fight, players should familiarize themselves with four key mechanics:

  • Growballs: These snowballs grow larger as they travel, increasing their impact area.
  • Rapid Fire: Allows players to shoot multiple snowballs rapidly.
  • Ricochet: Enables snowballs to bounce off surfaces like the ground and walls.
  • Skates: Increases players’ movement speed and maximum jump height.

Earn Rewards and Exclusive Cosmetics

Completing a Snowball Fight match rewards players with 750 XP, with an additional 150 XP bonus for winners. The maximum XP achievable from a Snowball match is 900.

Furthermore, players can participate in various challenges and visit the in-game shop to acquire exclusive seasonal skins. These cosmetics are only available during this time of the year, and some may not return in the future.
