OpTic Gaming makes history once again at Masters Copenhagen, eliminating LOUD

LOUD Eliminated at Masters Copenhagen

The second team to be eliminated at Masters Copenhagen is former Masters Reykjavík finalist, LOUD.

In the previous Masters Reykjavík tournament, OpTic and LOUD both had impressive runs and made it to the finals. LOUD was able to defeat OpTic in a thrilling series earlier in the tournament, but OpTic got their revenge in the final to win the title. Now, in Masters Copenhagen, LOUD finds themselves facing elimination on the second day of the event.

LOUD started the series strong by winning their map pick of Ascent with a score of 13-8. Aspas’ outstanding performance on Jett, with 24 kills and a close to 300 average combat score, showcased OpTic’s weaknesses. LOUD dominated the second half, allowing OpTic to win only two rounds before closing out the map.

OpTic, however, managed to secure a map win on their pick of Fracture, just like their previous encounter. This time, LOUD put up a better fight, pushing the score to 13-8 compared to their previous 13-2 defeat. Marved’s stellar performance on Brimstone, with a headshot percentage of 33 and an ACS of 314, brought OpTic back into the series.

The series was tied at 1-1, and there was one more map to determine the fate of the finalists.

The deciding map was Split, where LOUD initially took the advantage and pushed OpTic to their limits. Despite a 7-5 lead, both teams fought for control in the second half, leading to overtime and prolonging the lives of the Masters finalists.

However, LOUD couldn’t maintain their earlier momentum and lost to OpTic in a close 14-12 overtime match, ultimately exiting Masters Copenhagen.
