Gambit’s StarSeries Run Ends with Disappointing 0-3 Performance

Renegades Eliminate Gambit Esports in i-League StarSeries Season 5 LAN Finals

In a thrilling series, Renegades have managed to eliminate Gambit Esports from the i-League StarSeries Season 5 LAN finals. The match was intense, with the opening map ending in a quadruple overtime situation. Despite neither team having consistent control, Renegades emerged victorious with a 28-25 win after 53 rounds.

Although this loss could have demoralized Gambit, they quickly bounced back with a dominant 16-5 victory on Overpass, shutting down Renegades on the CT-side.

The deciding map of the series was Mirage, where both teams struggled to play their best CS:GO. Gambit initially responded well, winning the first pistol round and the next four rounds. However, Renegades managed to take the first half with one round to spare and built a strong 13-7 lead. Just as it seemed like Renegades would comfortably end the series, Gambit fought back.

The map became an extended battle, with Gambit gradually eroding Renegades’ lead and forcing overtime. Renegades had a chance to close out the series at 14-12, but missed the opportunity. After over four hours of play, Renegades finally secured a 16-14 victory to bring the series to a close.

Gambit avoided being the first team to be eliminated, thanks to their prolonged slog against Renegades. Vici Gaming Flash, a Chinese team, was the first team to fall to 0-3 in the tournament, losing to NRG.

The 1-1 games are currently underway, and the undefeated teams will face off at the end of the day. The winners of SK Gaming vs. Team Liquid and Mousesports vs. AGO Esports will secure the first two spots in the quarterfinals.
