Players disappointed with Cyberpunk 2.0 update as promised immersive Cyberware installs fall short

Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Update Leaves Players Disappointed

The highly anticipated 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 is now live, bringing major changes to the game’s gameplay mechanics. With promises of added immersion, especially during visits to the ripperdocs, players were eager to experience the new update.

However, many players have been left disappointed as the promised immersive feature seems to be missing. In a post on Reddit, one player expressed their confusion regarding a specific segment of the 2.0 patch notes.

“Visiting ripperdocs is now more immersive. When getting cyberware installed, you sit on an operating chair and experience different animations depending on the type of implant,” the patch notes stated. However, players are complaining that they have not encountered this feature yet, and it appears to be a widespread issue.

Instead of experiencing different animations, some players have only seen black screens and brief animations when adding extra implants. “I haven’t seen any different animations for cyberware, so that note is… inaccurate,” one player added.

Others have experienced even less, with their character simply getting up from the chair at the end of the process.

Bugs and Disappointment

Aside from the lack of immersion, the new cyberware update has also introduced bugs for some players. One player reported that when they had Mantis Blades installed, their character’s arms retained their normal appearance until they activated the new cyberware.

Cyberpunk 2077 has had its fair share of bugs throughout its development cycle. With the end of the development cycle nearing after the release of the Phantom Liberty DLC, players may have to wait for the sequel to see any significant changes.

CD Projekt RED, the game’s developer, has yet to comment on these issues.
