How to Change Language Settings in VALORANT’s Closed Beta

Changing the language setting in VALORANT’s closed beta can be confusing due to the lack of options in the game menu. By default, the game language is based on your Riot Games account settings, which may not necessarily be in your country’s language.

To change the language, you need to access the VALORANT client, not the Riot client. Simply disconnecting from the game won’t help. The only way to access the VALORANT client is to disable auto-login, which is turned on by default. To do this, go to the shortcut’s parameters and add “–disable-auto-launch” in the target line.

Once you have disabled auto-login, click on the shortcut and you will access the VALORANT client before entering the game itself. In the bottom-right corner of the client, you will find an options icon where you can change the language of the game.

It’s important to note that downloading the language update does not require any additional steps, but you must restart the client for the language change to take effect. Keep in mind that some English words will still be present in the game for better communication, such as map callouts and weapon names.
