Invictus Gaming achieves a reverse sweep against Evil Geniuses, emerging victorious at the ONE Esports Singapore Major.

Invictus Gaming Completes Reverse Sweep to Win Dota 2 Major

Invictus Gaming (IG) emerged victorious at the ONE Esports Singapore Major grand finals after a thrilling five-game series against Evil Geniuses (EG). Despite falling behind 0-2, IG mounted an incredible comeback to secure the Major title with a 3-2 victory.

The first two games were dominated by EG, with IG struggling to find their footing. However, in game three, IG turned the tide and showcased their resilience, eventually securing a crucial win. FlyFly’s Sven and Emo’s Void Spirit were instrumental in IG’s resurgence, igniting a spark within the team and the Dota community.

Throughout game four, both teams traded leads, but IG’s Troll Warlord and Ember Spirit-centric draft gave them the edge they needed to level the series. In the final game, IG demonstrated their composure and confidence, while EG seemed defeated. Kaka’s Lion and FlyFly’s Spectre sealed the deal for IG, leading them to victory.

Despite their strong performance, EG fell just short of becoming the first North American team to win a Major. They finished in second place, earning $100,000 and 450 Dota Pro Circuit points. On the other hand, IG claimed the Major title, $200,000, and 500 DPC points. They now sit atop the 2021 DPC rankings heading into season two.
