Fnatic Push Cloud9 Blue to Elimination Match in VALORANT Champions

Fan-Favorite Fnatic Advances, Sending Cloud9 Blue to Elimination Match

The first round of group play in VALORANT Champions’ Group D has concluded, and it was a thrilling series between Fnatic and Cloud9 Blue. Ultimately, Fnatic emerged victorious, securing their spot in the winner’s match against Vision Strikers. However, Cloud9 Blue will have another shot at survival as they face Full Sense in the elimination match on December 5th.

A Close Start on Icebox

The series kicked off with a closely contested match on Icebox. Both Fnatic and Cloud9 Blue were neck and neck, taking turns winning rounds. While Cloud9 Blue showed their skill in planting the bomb multiple times, Fnatic demonstrated their prowess in retaking sites, securing a crucial 7-5 lead by halftime.

C9 Blue’s Nail-Biting Comeback

Cloud9 Blue started the second half strong, winning the pistol round without needing to plant the spike. The match reached its peak intensity in round 14, as Boaster from Fnatic attempted to prevent C9 Mitch from defusing the spike in a tense one-vs-one duel. Although Boaster fought valiantly, Cloud9 Blue managed to tie the game.

Fnatic Rallies to Victory

After a shaky start in the second half, Fnatic staged an impressive comeback, winning four consecutive rounds. While Cloud9 Blue managed to secure a couple of rounds, Fnatic ultimately closed out the first game with a 13-11 victory.

An Overtime Showdown

The stakes were high as the series tied at 1-1, forcing both teams to compete on Fracture. Fnatic dominated the first half on the attack, dropping only four rounds and showcasing impressive plays, including Boaster’s infamous knife kill on Vanity. However, Cloud9 Blue fought tooth and nail in the second half, winning crucial rounds to force the game into overtime.

Despite Cloud9 Blue’s valiant efforts, Fnatic managed to secure both overtime rounds and secure their spot in the winner’s match. Meanwhile, Cloud9 Blue will need to regroup and face off against Full Sense in the elimination match for another chance at survival.

Fnatic will go head-to-head against Vision Strikers in the winner’s match on December 3rd, while Cloud9 Blue will battle it out against Full Sense on December 5th.
