FaZe and Mouz Secure Playoff Spots at ESL One Belo Horizonte

FaZe Clan and Mousesports secured the top spots in their respective groups at ESL One Belo Horizonte, ensuring their spots in the playoffs this weekend.

FaZe emerged victorious against Space Soldiers in the Group A winners’ match, while Mouz defeated Liquid in the Group B winners’ match. As a result, FaZe and Mouz will have a break tomorrow for finishing first in their groups. The remaining teams will battle it out on Saturday, June 16, for the remaining bracket spots at the $200,000 ESL event.

Space Soldiers started strong against FaZe with a 7-1 lead, but FaZe made a comeback on Inferno, winning 16-9. Despite Space Soldiers’ initial win on Mirage, FaZe dominated the match and won 16-6. FaZe’s Jorgen “cromen” Robertsen and Nikola “NiKo” Kovac emerged as the top performers in both maps.

The Liquid vs. Mouz series followed a similar pattern, with Liquid winning a few rounds on Inferno initially. However, Mouz comfortably won Inferno 16-9 in the second half, and their journey continued smoothly on their map pick, Train. Mouz’s Robin “ropz” Kool stood out with 23 kills per map and a 1.59 HLTV 2.0 rating, while Liquid’s Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken struggled with an average of 10 kills in the series.

– BIG won Dust II 16-4

The action in Belo Horizonte will continue tomorrow at 9am CT with the group decider matches between SK Gaming and Space Soldiers, as well as BIG and Liquid. The semifinals will take place on Saturday, June 16, where FaZe and Mouz will face their next opponents.
