Shopify Rebellion reportedly in talks to acquire Luminosity Gaming VALORANT roster

Shopify Rebellion in Discussions to Sign Luminosity Gaming VALORANT Roster

North American organization Shopify Rebellion is in talks to sign the Luminosity Gaming VALORANT roster, according to sources.

Shopify Rebellion has applied for a VALORANT partnership next year and plans to compete in the Americas league. Ongoing discussions between Luminosity and Shopify Rebellion have been taking place for several weeks.

If the deal goes through, players Will “dazzLe” Loafman, Kaleb “moose” Jayne, Adam “mada” Pampuch, Brandon “bdog” Sanders, and Tanner “TiGG” Spanu will be transferred to Shopify Rebellion. Head coach Jared “mac” Schneider is also likely to join the organization.

The Luminosity roster was eliminated from the playoff stage of VCT Stage Two Challengers, which ends on June 26. They were defeated 2-1 by FaZe Clan in their first match, having started the tournament in the lower bracket.

Luminosity, along with Ghost Gaming, exited the tournament with 35 circuit points. They did not qualify for VCT Masters in Copenhagen, while OpTic, XSET, NRG, and FaZe are the remaining teams competing for the two available slots.

Luminosity, Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, 100 Thieves, and Sentinels have secured their positions in the North American Last Chance Qualifier. The winner of the event will earn qualification for VCT Champions later this year.

On June 2, the Luminosity roster was benched by the organization after withdrawing from VALORANT.

Shopify Rebellion is known for its Game Changers team in North America. They recently signed Benita “bENITA” Novshadian, a 29-year-old player previously with CLG Red.

The Game Changers team finished second in the first series earlier this year, with Cloud9 White winning the tournament. Shopify Rebellion lost 3-0 in the grand final, which concluded on April 10.
