OpTic’s VALORANT squad faces COVID outbreak, FNS faced with severe symptoms

OpTic Gaming’s VALORANT Team Tested Positive for COVID-19 Ahead of Crucial Qualification Match

Several members of OpTic Gaming’s VALORANT team have tested positive for COVID-19 just hours before their important VCT Masters qualification match against XSET. The team’s in-game leader, FNS, announced on Twitter last night that he has tested positive and is experiencing severe symptoms, including a high fever.

Teammate crashies has also tested positive for the virus after being in close proximity with FNS. The star player, yay, may also have contracted COVID-19, as he mentioned on Twitter.

Despite the outbreak within the team, it is expected that all five players will still compete against XSET tonight. FNS has made it clear that he is determined to play no matter what.

Qualification for VCT Masters on the Line

OpTic earned a spot in the upper final of the VCT Stage 2 Challengers after a convincing 2-0 victory against Evil Geniuses. The winner of tonight’s match against XSET will secure qualification for VCT Masters in Copenhagen, which is scheduled to take place from July 10 to July 24.

The loser of the match will have one more opportunity to qualify for the international event through the lower bracket. NRG will face-off against FaZe Clan tonight to determine the final three teams in the tournament. The winner of that match will qualify for VCT Masters and compete against the finalist.
