ShahZaM offers insights on the absence of leading NA VALORANT teams in Stage 2, Challengers One

Sentinels’ Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan Calls for Changes in VALORANT Tournament Qualifying System

Sentinels’ Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan recently shared his thoughts on the VALORANT Champions Tour Masters One event and the absence of top teams in the upcoming Challengers One tournament. He believes that these teams should have received a bonus for their past performance.

Changes Needed in the VALORANT Champions Tour Qualifying System

The VALORANT Champions Tour is currently in its Stage Two, and teams have another chance to qualify for the next Masters event through the Challengers tournaments. However, many top teams from the previous Masters event failed to qualify for Challengers One, leading some players to question the effectiveness of the system.

ShahZaM Advocates for Bonus Spots in Challengers Tournament

ShahZaM has been vocal about his belief that the top teams from the previous stage and Masters event should earn a spot in the first Challengers tournament or receive some other form of bonus to avoid having to go through open qualifiers. He argues that these teams should have a chance to prepare for the competition instead of being at a disadvantage.

Difficulties in Reinventing Strategies

ShahZaM also points out that it is nearly impossible to completely change a team’s strategies within a week to avoid other teams preparing countermeasures. This further adds to the challenges faced by top teams in the tournament.

The top three teams from the Masters One event, Sentinels, FaZe Clan, and Gen.G, were unable to qualify for the Challengers One event. However, they will have another chance in the subsequent Challengers tournaments to secure a spot in Masters Two.
