Unexpected door glitch leaves VALORANT player confused, disrupts match at VCT LOCK//IN

A Glitch in the Game: How a Door Bug May Have Altered the Outcome of LOUD vs Gen.G

The recent match between LOUD and Gen.G at the VCT LOCK//IN tournament took an unexpected turn due to a glitch. The glitch, which involved a door on the second map, created confusion and potentially influenced the players’ decision-making.

In the crucial tenth round of the match, LOUD managed to infiltrate the A site while Gen.G struggled with weaker weapons. The intense round ended up in a one-on-one situation with LOUD’s Aspas facing off against Gen.G’s Meteor.

After retrieving the Spike left by his fallen teammates, Aspas quickly rotated towards the B site. However, the door on the map remained inexplicably open, causing Meteor to question whether Aspas had actually rotated or stayed in the lobby.

Normally, the door is opened or closed through utility usage or player movement. This glitched door led to Meteor’s uncertainty about Aspas’ location and strategy. Eventually, Meteor realized that Aspas had planted the Spike on the opposite site and rushed to confront his adversary. However, Aspas anticipated the move and successfully eliminated Meteor as he exited the spawn area.

It remains unclear whether Meteor would have reacted differently if he had observed the door closed instead of open. The glitch may have had a significant impact on the outcome of the round.

The match concluded with LOUD winning the map 14-12 and the series 2-0, causing Gen.G to be eliminated from the tournament.
