Gen.G knocks out Luminosity from North America VCT Last Chance Qualifier

Luminosity Gaming VALORANT Team Eliminated from VCT Competition

The Luminosity Gaming VALORANT roster has played their final official VCT competition this year. After losing to Gen.G in the lower bracket of the North American Last Chance Qualifier, Luminosity is the first team to be eliminated from the event.

Close Match on Haven

Both teams showed strong performance on Haven, with a tied score of 6-6 at halftime. Gen.G took the lead on the attack side, with koosta delivering clutch plays in post-plant situations. They extended their lead to 10-7 before an LG timeout. Unfortunately, LG lost a critical round which spelled the end for them on Haven. Gen.G claimed the first map with a score of 13-9.

Gen.G Dominates on Split

Gen.G carried their momentum to Split, winning the pistol round, the second round, and their bonus round. They quickly reached a 6-0 lead before LG fought back, reducing the Gen.G lead to three with two consecutive wins. LG managed to turn things around, closing the gap to 8-4 before halftime. However, Gen.G’s loan from Evil Geniuses, Temperature, made a significant impact with his Cypher utility and frags in the second half, rebuilding Gen.G’s lead. Despite LG’s efforts to salvage rounds, Gen.G’s dominance continued, and they won the map 13-9, ultimately eliminating LG from the event.

Luminosity’s VCT Journey Comes to an End

Luminosity’s inaugural VCT campaign concluded in the first lower bracket round of the LCQ. They achieved a tie for fifth place at Masters One and a tie for seventh place at the Stage Three Challengers Playoffs.

Gen.G will now move on to face Cloud9 Blue in the second round of the lower bracket tomorrow.
