Streamers lose early access to Cyberpunk 2077 during live streaming

Why Cyberpunk 2077’s Early Access on Twitch Caused Concern for Streamers

Within the last 12 hours, the highly anticipated game Cyberpunk 2077 has taken over Twitch as lucky streamers were given early access to the game.

When the early access went live, over 800,000 viewers tuned in within the first hour to get their first glimpse of the game. However, when the global release happened on PC, this early access caused some worries for these fortunate streamers.

Firstly, the game unexpectedly closed mid-stream, and then the login keys stopped working for these players. On xQc’s stream, a window popped up stating that the login key had expired.

It wasn’t just xQc who experienced this issue; Shroud also found himself confused when he was forced to exit the game.

After some time, both streamers regained access to the game, but they had to download a massive 58GB first-day patch before they could resume playing.

According to Shroud, this first-day update was even larger than his initial download, which was around 50GB.

Considering the plethora of bugs that streamers and reviewers encountered during early access, it’s not surprising that the first update is as substantial as it is.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available worldwide on PC and Stadia, while console gamers will have to wait until midnight in their respective time zones to gain access.
