XQc Faces Technical Difficulties with Cyberpunk 2077 Launch
XQc, like millions of gamers around the world, was eagerly awaiting the official launch of Cyberpunk 2077 for PC and Stadia. However, his excitement quickly turned to disappointment when the early access key he received didn’t work.
Earlier, hundreds of streamers were invited for an early launch to give players a glimpse of the game before they started their own adventures. XQc had asked the developers for an early access key and finally received one a few hours before the release. But to his dismay, the initial keys didn’t function.
XQc’s password for the key was denied, leaving him heartbroken. He had expected everyone to be able to stream the game simultaneously with the global release. Previously, he had even praised the developers for their strict streaming rules, only to discover that some streamers were granted early access while others had to wait.
To troubleshoot the issue, XQc had eight different security codes at hand, but none of them worked. After attempting various methods to input the security code, he eventually decided to end his stream due to frustration.
In consideration of his viewers’ time, XQc recommended tuning in to another Cyberpunk 2077 stream. Although he didn’t offer many comments on the situation, his failure to play his usual outro song hinted at his disappointment.
It’s worth noting that xQc had requested a key less than a day before the launch, which suggests that the early access list was already full. Most streamers were prepared for the launch as the game was available for preload on Dec. 7, making XQc a little late to the party.
However, Cyberpunk 2077’s official release was just a few hours away, so XQc should be able to jump into the action again once he turns on his stream.

Update Dec. 9 8am CT: XQc received another set of keys and has started his first playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077.
