LiveMe and Tencent Collaborate to Launch First Mobile Streaming App for Gaming and Esports

A groundbreaking partnership between live streaming service LiveMe and Chinese conglomerate Tencent has resulted in the creation of Fluxr, the first dedicated mobile streaming app for gaming and esports. Fluxr is specifically designed for competitive mobile gamers who want to stream their gameplay sessions.

LiveMe, a popular streaming platform, has joined forces with Tencent to introduce Fluxr to North America. As part of the launch, Tencent will organize online and offline events featuring the mobile version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. These offline events will take place across North America and Southeast Asia, expanding Tencent’s presence in the global esports market.

Founder of LiveMe, Yuki He, expressed his excitement about this venture in a press release, stating, “With the boom of mobile games and professional esports, we’re leveraging our experience and resources in the live streaming space to deliver interactive user experiences and innovative new features through Fluxr.”

During its initial launch, Fluxr will feature 200 streamers, with expectations for rapid expansion. LiveMe’s founder, Yuki He, reveals that gaming has become the most popular content on the platform, indicating a rising interest in mobile streaming and gaming coinciding with the growth of the overall mobile market. Currently, the mobile market is the largest source of revenue in the gaming industry.

Tencent, the world’s largest mobile game developer, generated a whopping $3.4 billion in revenue from its mobile games, according to its quarterly filing from May 2018.

Fluxr will be available for download on both the Apple Store and Google Play starting on July 5.
