Roku users rejoice: Twitch is now available!

Twitch Launches its Own Channel on Roku

Twitch has announced the release of its own channel on Roku, one of the most popular streaming devices on the market. Roku, which was launched in 2008, offers a variety of channels including Netflix, Hulu Plus, Crunchyroll, and WatchESPN. Now, Twitch’s channel will be featured alongside these popular names.

This move comes after Twitch already has apps available for mobile phones, major consoles, and other streaming devices like Chromecast. With the addition of a Roku channel, viewers now have even more options to watch Twitch how they want to. This also means that Twitch can now reach more living rooms and expand its audience of streamers.

Previously, Twitch fans who owned Roku boxes had to rely on a buggy unofficial app that could only be added through Roku’s “private channel” option. However, now they can enjoy Twitch on Roku without any hassle.

Brooke Van Dusen, Twitch’s director of business development, stated that it is important for Twitch to be available wherever gamers are. The Twitch community has been requesting a Roku channel for a long time, and now their wish has been fulfilled.

With Twitch’s expansion onto Roku, it continues to solidify its presence on various platforms, allowing gamers to enjoy their favorite content seamlessly.
