Ezreal’s Winrate in the Jungle Outperforms his Winrate as an ADC

Ezreal Finds Success as Jungler, Surpassing ADC Winrate

Ezreal players may want to consider switching to the jungle role based on recent winrate statistics.

According to LOLalytics, Ezreal has more wins in the jungle than in his traditional ADC position in over 240,000 games played by League of Legends players ranked Platinum or higher.

Currently, Ezreal has a 48.5% winrate in the jungle compared to his 47.1% winrate as an ADC. This is despite Ezreal being picked as an ADC 23.2% more often, according to LOLalytics.

It’s important to note that these statistics only apply to players ranked Platinum or above. In lower ranks, Ezreal performs better in other roles, but the comparison is not as significant.

In the lower ranks, Ezreal has only been picked as a jungler in a small percentage of games. However, in Platinum and higher ranks, Ezreal ADC is more popular than Ezreal jungle, providing a sufficient sample size for analysis.

Xiang “Condi” Ren-Jie from Team WE introduced Ezreal jungle in the LPL’s Regional Qualifier victory against Invictus Gaming on September 3. Despite losing that game, players around the world have since been trying their luck with Ezreal in the jungle role in ranked play.

This trend of unconventional role experimentation following professional player picks has been seen before, such as when ROX Tigers locked in Miss Fortune support during Worlds 2016. However, Ezreal players are currently seeing better results than Miss Fortune support players did back then.

As we approach Worlds 2017 in China, starting on September 23, it will be interesting to see if this trend continues.
