LCS Fans Were Most Captivated by Doublelift’s Comeback in the 2023 Spring Split Opener

LCS Spring Split 2023 Day 1 Viewer Statistics

The first day of the 2023 LCS Spring Split has come to an end, and we now have the viewer stats for the day.

The most-watched match of the day was between league powerhouses Cloud9 and 100 Thieves. Both teams had a peak viewership of 178,784, as reported by Esports Charts.

Two other matches also drew significant viewership, with Liquid versus FlyQuest reaching a peak of 167,958 viewers, and Golden Guardians versus Evil Geniuses attracting 163,586 viewers. The game between TSM and Immortals had the lowest popularity with 112,120 viewers, likely due to its late timeslot for European viewers.

The popularity of 100T and C9 is not surprising, considering the presence of popular veterans Bjergsen and Doublelift. Both players have made comebacks this season.

Yesterday’s viewer numbers did not surpass the first-week records of the 2022 LCS Spring Split, which had a peak viewership of 243,217 people, according to Esports Charts.

There were concerns about the LCS’s performance this year due to the new format changes, with games now scheduled on Thursdays and Fridays instead of weekends. However, it’s still early to make a judgment as the second day of games will be held today.
