Uzi affirms he will not compete in LPL stage for the 2022 Summer Split

Uzi to Sit Out LPL Summer Split, Focus on Streaming and Rest

Star AD carry Uzi, formerly of Bilibili Gaming, has revealed during a livestream that he will not be participating in the upcoming LPL Summer Split. After just one split with Bilibili this season, Uzi was released from the team’s roster.

Uzi stated, “I will rest in summer for sure. There are many things that don’t have solutions. If I could be a bit stronger, then it wouldn’t be a problem now. There is no such thing as ‘ifs’ in life. Such a pity.”

Following his hiatus since 2019, Uzi made a comeback with Bilibili this year. However, he only played in nine games during the spring split and won just one of them.

For the entirety of his seven-season career, Uzi had been with Royal Never Give Up. Despite his past success, he struggled to carry Bilibili to the same heights due to limited playing time in a backup role. Bilibili finished eighth in the 2022 LPL Spring Split and was eliminated in the second round of the playoffs.

Going forward, Bilibili’s ADC role will be taken over by Doggo, who had already started most of the games in the position during the first half of the season. Doggo led the team to a game record of 25-18 during the Spring Split. Meanwhile, it remains uncertain whether Uzi will return to the professional scene in the future, as he hinted at a possible comeback in 2023.

The LPL Summer Split is set to begin on June 10.
