New League of Legends Valentine’s Day Skins Bring Romance to Summoner’s Rift
After the success of Riot Games’ popular Netflix series Arcane, fans have been eagerly waiting for more content featuring their favorite duo, Vi and Caitlyn, from League of Legends. The wait is finally over, as Riot has announced new Heartthrob and Heartache skins for the game, bringing romance to Summoner’s Rift just in time for Valentine’s Day.
These new skins will feature not only Vi and Caitlyn but also the perpetually lonely mummy, Amumu. With updated visual effects and sound effects, these Valentine’s Day skins will offer a grungier style compared to their previous counterparts.
While the new skins are exciting, the main focus will be on the interactions between Vi and Caitlyn. During their recall animations, there is a small Easter egg where Vi tries to open a pink locker using her Hextech gauntlets, while Caitlyn opens the same locker after Vi and finds a Valentine’s Day card left by Vi along with a cupcake. Caitlyn quickly hides the card but gives it a hug when she thinks no one is watching.
Unfortunately, Amumu’s romantic endeavors don’t go as planned. In his recall animation, he tries to open a black locker with spikes, only to have all the textbooks inside fall on his head.
