First mid lane turret lost by Cloud9 in the 2020 LCS Spring Split

Cloud9 Continues Winning Streak, Maintains LCS Lead

Cloud9 asserted their dominance in the LCS with another impressive win last night against Dignitas. This victory marks their 12th consecutive win this season, solidifying their position at the top of the leaderboard. However, the match didn’t go entirely as planned.

C9 showed their strength by winning multiple lanes and carrying their momentum into the late game. They maintained a significant 10,000 gold lead after 31 minutes, only died once, and lost just two towers. Unfortunately, one of those towers happened to be in the mid lane.

This loss of a mid lane turret is a first for C9 in 2020. Nisqy, the team’s mid laner from Belgium, has been a consistent carry for the team, consistently performing well and influencing late-game team fights. His skills and synergy with his teammates have noticeably improved over the past year.

Despite their overall control of the map in all 12 of their wins, C9 slipped up in their most recent match against Dignitas. While rotating to the bot lane, they were outmaneuvered by a quick-thinking Dignitas, resulting in the destruction of their mid lane turret.

Undoubtedly, C9 is currently the strongest team in North America. If they continue their dominant performance, they could potentially end the Spring Split undefeated with 18 wins. Though challenging, C9 has proven time and time again that they have what it takes to achieve such a feat.

Next, C9 will face off against their rivals TSM in the LCS on Saturday, March 7.
